Shoot video because you SHOULD, not because you can
More wet and cold weather here in New Hampshire so it was refreshing to spend some time on the Daily Courier’s site to see some warm desert landscapes. The videos there, however, have a few issues. I was asked to take a look so here goes.
Video is great for certain things. It can bore a person to tears if not used well. There are video stories and there are stories that are best done with still images, audio or audio slideshows. Newspapers and Web outlets don’t have to do video. There’s a difference between wanting online video, needing online video and having the ability to create compelling online video.
